Behind every great publication is a person who brings the stories — and the advertisers — together. For the 2026–2027 Royal Gorge Region Visitors Guide, that person is Kristina Post, our local Account Manager and Social Media Manager serving both DARE Print & Sign Co. and Sagentic Web Design.
Kristina is the primary contact for businesses that want to appear in the Visitors Guide — helping them choose placements, refine their message, and purchase ads online through RoyalGorgeGuide.com. She blends professional journalism, marketing strategy, and deep local roots to make sure every ad fits seamlessly into the story of the Royal Gorge Region.
"If you want your business to be part of the story visitors remember, Kristina is the person who helps you get on the page."
Erica Haferkamp, Creative Director of DARE Print & Sign Co.
From Newsroom Skills to Destination Marketing
Kristina graduated from the University of Kansas with a B
Today, she brings that storytelling mindset to her roles with DARE Print & Sign Co. and Sagentic Web Design. At Sagentic, she manages social media strategy and content, helping businesses show up consistently and confidently online. At DARE, she focuses on tourism marketing and print — especially the Royal Gorge Region Visitors Guide — guiding advertisers through the entire process from “I’m not sure what to say” to “That looks incredible in print.”
If you’d like to see more of her work behind the scenes, you can read Sagentic’s article on turnkey social media for time-strapped businesses, which Kristina helped craft to support busy local entrepreneurs.
A Local Advocate for Parks, Trails, and Community Life
Kristina and her family moved to Cañon City in 2016, drawn by the trails, river, and small-town feel that visitors fall in love with every year. She volunteers locally to support parks, recreation programs, and community spaces that benefit both residents and guests.
At home, she and her husband, Jerod — a former U.S. Marine and local physical therapist at CommonSpirit hospital in Cañon City — are raising three very bright and energetic children. Weekend adventures usually involve camping, hiking, river time, or cheering from the sidelines at local activities.
Kristina is also a small business owner herself. Through her vintage and upcycled shop, Three Sprouts Vintage, she curates pre-loved finds and plant-friendly decor with an emphasis on sustainability and character. That hands-on retail experience gives her a real appreciation for what it means to invest in marketing that actually works.
Connecting Local Businesses to the Visitors Guide
The Royal Gorge Region Visitors Guide is the official publication of the Fremont County Tourism Council and the most trusted trip-planning resource for travelers exploring Cañon City, Florence, Penrose, and beyond. In 2024, the council selected DARE Print & Sign Co. to take over publication and bring the project home to a local team. You can read more about that decision in DARE Chosen to Publish the 2026–2027 Royal Gorge Visitors Guide.
For the 2026–2027 edition, the guide has evolved far beyond a simple directory. With full-color layouts, immersive photography, and editorial-style content, each page is designed to feel like a destination magazine. Advertisers are positioned as part of the region’s story — not as a list of phone numbers in the back.

Editorial-Driven Advertising with a Human Guide
Kristina’s role is to make the advertising process straightforward, strategic, and human. She helps you:
- Choose between full-page advertorials, full-page display ads, half-page, and quarter-page placements.
- Clarify your message so the copy fits the tone and style of the publication.
- Coordinate creative assets, photography, and layout with the DARE design team.
- Align your ad with relevant editorial sections — such as rafting, dining, lodging, shopping, or arts and culture — so your business appears alongside content your ideal visitor is already reading.
Every ad is encouraged to follow the established Royal Gorge Region brand guidelines, ensuring that your display feels like part of the magazine rather than a visual interruption. Kristina acts as your guide through those standards so your ad looks polished, intentional, and on-brand.
Locally Produced. National-Level Quality.
DARE Print & Sign Co. is producing the 2026–2027 Visitors Guide locally at our Main Street facility in Cañon City. From layout to press checks, you’re working with a team that lives where your visitors travel — and cares deeply about how the Royal Gorge Region is presented.
Because Kristina is embedded in that process, she can answer detailed questions about timing, placements, artwork requirements, and how your ad will appear both in print and in the interactive digital edition hosted at RoyalGorgeRegion.com.
